FaZe have claimed the Roman Imperium Cup IX trophy following back-to-back victories against NAVI Junior during the tournament's closing day.
The opening encounter took place in the upper final bracket. After dropping the first map, FaZe mounted an impressive comeback to reverse sweep their opponents and punch their ticket to the grand final. NAVI Junior demonstrated resilience by defeating Sangal in the consolidation final, earning themselves another shot at FaZe.
In the upper final's opening map on Anubis, NAVI Junior established control with a 7-5 CT-side advantage at halftime. They extended their dominance early in the second half with four consecutive rounds, building an 11-5 cushion that proved insurmountable. The academy squad closed out Anubis 13-9.
FaZe responded forcefully on their Nuke selection, racing to a 7-2 lead on the terrorist side. Though NAVI Junior rallied to tie 7-7, FaZe regained momentum and secured a 13-9 victory to level the series.
The decisive Dust2 map saw NAVI Junior grab an 8-4 halftime lead and push ahead 11-6. However, their advantage evaporated as FaZe orchestrated a remarkable comeback. David "frozen" Čerňanský led the charge with 31 eliminations on the final map, helping FaZe force overtime and ultimately prevail 19-15.
The grand final rematch told a completely different story. FaZe steamrolled through both maps, posting identical 13-2 scorelines on Anubis and Nuke. Russell "Twistzz" Van Dulken's squad dominated with 10-2 terrorist halves on both selections, leaving no room for NAVI Junior to mount a defense.
Jakub "jcobbb" Pietruszewski earned MVP honors with an outstanding 34 eliminations and a remarkable 2.04 rating across the grand final. This championship victory propels FaZe near the global top-15 in VRS rankings while strengthening their positioning for PGL Major Singapore qualification.
