The lower bracket semifinal saw Marsborne take on FarmVille starting on Dust2. Despite trailing 5-7 at halftime, Marsborne executed a nearly perfect T-side after the second pistol to claim the map 13-8. On their Inferno pick, Marsborne recovered from an early deficit to tie 6-6 before pulling away for a 13-9 triumph. Nick "nicx" Lee delivered an outstanding performance with 40 frags, three clutches, and a 1.61 rating.
The consolidation final against regain proved even more dominant for Marsborne. On regain's Inferno pick, they established a crushing 10-2 CT-side lead before closing out 13-3. Anubis featured a competitive 6-6 first half, but Marsborne's second-half dominance sealed a 13-7 victory.
The grand final between LAG and Marsborne is scheduled for tonight at 9:00 PM, with $8,000 and a Season 52 NA Finals spot on the line.
