Astralis have officially welcomed Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek and Nikita "cmtry" Samolotov to their ranks, confirming widespread speculation from recent days. This move restores the team to full capacity after Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen and Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard were placed on the bench back on October 9th.
The recruitment of these two Eastern European players represents a historic turning point for the organization. For the first time ever, Astralis will field an international squad, with Victor "Staehr" Staehr remaining as the only Danish player in a team that previously captured four Major championships with an entirely Danish core.
Siuhy, who previously served as in-game leader for Liquid, will be looking to rebuild after a challenging and largely disappointing stint with the North American organization. Meanwhile, cmtry transitions into a rifling position despite being recognized primarily as an AWPer during his time with NAVI Junior and FUT.
The squad has already secured their place at the PGL Singapore Major after their previous roster dominated Stake Ranked Episode 4, finishing ahead of Nemiga. The immediate priority is accumulating five official matches before the Major cutoff deadline to ensure the new members qualify for sticker eligibility. This objective appears achievable with Stake Pulse Beat III and Stake Ranked Episode 5 scheduled before the invitation deadline.
The revamped international lineup features Victor "Staehr" Staehr, Love "phzy" Smidebrant, Gytis "ryu" Glušauskas, Kamil "siuhy" Szkaradek, and Mykyta "cmtry" Samolotov, with Filip "NEO" Kubski as coach.
Their maiden match takes place tomorrow at 06:00AM against Sashi, another Danish organization that recently transformed their national roster composition.
