Following their intense battle against LAG, Without a Roof maintained their momentum in CROSSFIRE Season 6 by taking on Overtake Sector in the lower bracket final. Umar Qaiser, who had recently stepped away from Overtake Sector's roster, made his return for this critical matchup. Despite struggling on the opening map, Without a Roof rallied to claim the series 2-1 and punch their ticket to the grand final.
Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte delivered an outstanding performance throughout the series, racking up 53 eliminations, 15 multikill rounds, and an impressive 1.57 rating in this pivotal clash.
The action kicked off on Mirage, Overtake Sector's map selection. Overtake converted their T-side pistol victory into a commanding 6-1 advantage. Without a Roof fought back with several rounds, but Overtake maintained a 7-5 edge at halftime. After securing the second pistol round as well, Overtake executed a perfect CT-side defense to claim the map 13-5.
Without a Roof selected Inferno and dominated the majority of the first half after taking the pistol. They established an 8-2 cushion before Overtake managed to grab two rounds back. WaR opened their CT-side with four consecutive rounds to reach map point at 12-4. Overtake clawed back three rounds, but WaR ultimately sealed their map pick 13-7, forcing a decisive third map.
Dust2 served as the battleground for the final map. Overtake opened strong with three straight rounds before WaR answered with a six-round surge, featuring three clutch victories during that stretch. Overtake kept the match competitive by adding three more rounds to finish the half deadlocked at 6-6. After winning the pistol round, WaR executed a flawless T-side attack, aided by two additional clutches, to capture Dust2 13-6.
The CROSSFIRE Season 6 grand final is set for tonight at 9:00 PM. Without a Roof will face Marsborne in a best-of-five showdown for the $6,000 prize. Coming from the upper bracket, Marsborne enters with a one-map advantage.
