Legacy has confirmed that their in-game leader Andrei "arT" Piovezan is ready to return to competitive play at the Thunderpick World Championship after recovering from meningitis.
The Brazilian captain was hospitalized and forced to miss Legacy's ESL Pro League run, which was announced just days before the tournament began. During his absence, the team competed with stand-in Pedro "bobz" Rocha but were eliminated in the group stage.
According to Legacy's official statement, arT has responded positively to medical treatment and has been released from hospital care. The organization expressed gratitude to fans and the community for their support throughout this difficult period.
The timing of arT's return is crucial for Legacy, who had been experiencing strong form before the setback. The team climbed to second place in the VRS global rankings after securing third at the Esports World Cup and claiming victory at FISSURE Playground 3.
With their full roster restored, Legacy enters the Thunderpick World Championship as genuine contenders for the title. The tournament begins on October 14 and will feature several elite teams including Falcons, FURIA, and Aurora among the top-10 squads competing.
