Simon "twist" Eliasson expressed optimism about Swedish CS2 following Alliance's semi-final appearance at XSE Pro League Guangzhou, where they fell to 9z.

The 31-year-old rifler emphasized that Alliance can compete with top-tier teams when given opportunities at major events. Their recent strong performances at tier-two tournaments helped them climb the rankings before IEM Cologne Major, earning more invitations to prestigious competitions.

"As soon as we get the opportunity to compete against tier-one teams, we can beat them," twist stated. "We need more practice and tournaments, but I believe we can reach the next Major."

Despite losing Liam "MaiL09" Tügel, Alliance found success with their new addition bobeksde, who delivered impressive performances throughout the event. twist acknowledged the challenge of roster changes but praised the team's stable core, which has remained together for approximately eighteen months.

The veteran player credited Alliance co-owners Loda and Kelly for maintaining team stability and expressed his enthusiasm about returning to high-level competition after years grinding through lower tiers following his departure from NIP.

"This is by far one of the best teams I've ever had in my career," twist said about his current roster.

Regarding the Swedish scene's revival, twist highlighted Alliance and EYEBALLERS as leading the charge, though he noted Swedish talent is somewhat dispersed across international rosters. Nevertheless, he remains confident about Sweden's trajectory in competitive Counter-Strike.

Alliance's primary goal remains qualifying for the Major, with plans to compete in as many top-tier events as possible, including the upcoming BLAST Bounty tournament.
