Danish Counter-Strike 2 organization Sashi has parted ways with AWPer Michael "chelleos" Hawkins after an incredibly brief stint lasting only two days.
The 26-year-old player, who previously competed for Rooster, had joined the squad on Thursday. His addition would have brought the Oceanic representation on the team to three members, alongside recently signed Australian duo Tynan "TjP" Purtell and Jordan "Hatz" Bajic.
Taking to social media platform X, chelleos explained the situation simply: "Sashi didn't work out for me." He revealed that no contract was ever signed with the Danish organization during his ultra-short tenure.
According to sources speaking with HLTV, the team has resumed practice sessions with Frederik "acoR" Gyldstrand, who had been benched to accommodate chelleos' arrival.
Despite maintaining an Asian core through Anton "Anlelele" Huynh now competing under the Vietnamese flag, Sashi faces a three-month waiting period before their regional classification officially changes, unless Valve grants a special exception.
The squad faces a busy competition schedule ahead, with appearances planned at Stake Pulse Beat III in Stockholm next week, DraculaN Season 7, and dual participation in both HyperX Retake Season 13 and NSTLGA Texas Open despite scheduling conflicts.
The current roster features TjP, Hatz, Rasmus "Zyphon" Nordfoss, and Anlelele, with Nicolai "HUNDEN" Petersen coaching and acoR remaining on the bench.
