Hunter Tucker has officially parted ways with Marsborne, the organization he helped establish as a founding member at the start of 2025. Tucker held dual responsibilities as both head coach and general manager, playing an instrumental role in building the team's initial and secondary lineups.
Under Tucker's leadership, Marsborne's original roster reached the pinnacle of North American domestic competition, nearly securing qualification for IEM Cologne Major 2026. Unfortunately, difficulties during the squad's South American campaign combined with internal team conflicts prevented Major qualification, leading to roster changes that saw Tucker and Adam Golden retained as the core pieces.
After assuming general manager responsibilities following Matthew Sedowicz's departure, the organization achieved moderate results, currently holding ninth position in North American VRS rankings and claiming runner-up honors at FRAG TAP Reloaded 2026 in May.
Speaking with Dust2.us, Tucker explained that North America's financial landscape remains extremely challenging. His exit stems from inability to reach financial terms that would adequately support him as primary caregiver for his father.
Golden shared an emotional message on social media, crediting Tucker with revitalizing his professional career following his mother's passing and serving as his advocate from the beginning.
Ben Smith is anticipated to assume head coaching duties, though neither Marsborne nor Smith have provided official confirmation. The active roster now includes Golden, Bogdan Savula, Adam Paterson, Chance Boyer, and Nick Lee, with Smith listed as assistant coach.
