The second day of competition in ESL Challenger League Season 52's third Cup event delivered exciting action across multiple matches.
Chicken Coop secured their inaugural victory in the tournament with a hard-fought 2-1 triumph over DETONATE. The opening map on Cache saw Chicken Coop dominate the CT side with a 10-2 advantage, comfortably closing out a 13-5 victory. DETONATE responded forcefully on Inferno, building a 9-3 CT-side lead and cruising to a 13-4 win to force a decider.
The final map on Nuke proved to be the most contested battleground. DETONATE established an 8-4 halftime lead playing as defenders, seemingly in control. However, Chicken Coop demonstrated remarkable determination in their comeback, ultimately prevailing 13-11. Milan "CrePoW" Libbrecht led the charge with an outstanding 32-frag performance to seal the series victory.
In another notable result, Zomblers pulled off an upset against the favored Desi Boyz with a decisive 2-0 sweep. Despite dropping the pistol round on their Inferno selection, Zomblers surged to a 4-1 start. Desi Boyz rallied late in the half to narrow the gap to 7-5. The second half saw Desi Boyz grab a 10-7 advantage before Zomblers stormed back with six consecutive rounds to claim a 13-10 victory.
On Nuke, Zomblers leveraged the map's CT-sided nature to build a commanding 9-3 first-half lead. They maintained their composure in the second period, wrapping up a dominant 13-3 win to complete the sweep.
