Brazilian Esports Giant LOUD Abandons CS2 Project Without Ever Going Public

October 1, 20262 min read

LOUD has shut down its Counter-Strike 2 operations before ever making a formal announcement about entering the scene. The Brazilian esports organization released the Largados y Pelados roster, which had reportedly signed with LOUD back in May, according to Dust2 Brasil.

Team captain Leonardo "zmb" Toledo and coach Pablo "disturbed" Fernandes took to social media to confirm they are now free agents. Both emphasized the squad's commitment to staying together under the LP banner while remaining receptive to separate opportunities.

The partnership between LOUD and LP was never officially confirmed through public channels, though reports of the deal surfaced in May. Throughout the summer, the team competed under the LP tag while LOUD reportedly handled tournament entry costs and financed a European bootcamp in Portugal. The organization even released a Counter-Strike teaser, and players wore jerseys with LOUD branding.

During this unofficial period, the roster achieved impressive results, winning CCT 2026 South America Series 1, BetBoom Storm Season 3, and Circuit X Recife. Their European campaign saw them place 5th-8th at Roman Imperium Cup VIII, HyperX Retake Season 12, and LeonBet Masters Season 1.

Disturbed suggested the split might be connected to Brazil's recent betting industry ban, referencing Provisional Measure No. 1,394 from September 25. This regulation prohibits fixed-odds betting operations and related sponsorship activities in Brazil. LOUD has not publicly confirmed this as the reason for ending the project.

The same day LP announced their free agency, Vivo Keyd Stars also indefinitely suspended its CS2 operations, citing changes in Brazil's competitive and regulatory landscape.

The six-man Largados y Pelados roster plans to continue competing together while searching for a new organizational home, with Circuit X Curitiba 3 as their next confirmed appearance.
