Following Valve's recent enforcement against teams exploiting region changes for easier Major qualification paths, BC.Game CEO Ali Muhanned has proposed an unconventional solution to their predicament.
Rather than accepting a complete ban from PGL Major Singapore, Muhanned publicly requested that Valve wipe BC.Game's VRS points entirely. His proposal would allow the roster featuring asap, mzinho, Senzu, s1mple, and Magisk to rebuild their ranking from the ground up.
BC.Game initially recruited Tyson "asap" Paterson aiming to establish an Asian core and compete through that region's qualification pathway. However, it appears Sashi's recent maneuver triggered Valve's strict policy update that now threatens both organizations' Major participation.
Sashi attempted to temporarily establish an Asian roster by signing Australian players Tynan "TjP" Purtell and Jordan "Hatz" Bajic. The Danish organization additionally utilized Anton "Anlelele" Huynh's dual Danish-Vietnamese citizenship to facilitate their regional transfer. BIG co-founder Tom J. Lemke indicated this citizenship loophole significantly influenced Valve's decision to implement stricter regulations.
Whether Valve will consider Muhanned's offer remains uncertain, but BC.Game clearly prefers starting fresh over complete exclusion from the Major circuit.
